Atheists who disprove God with religion.

These are the atheists who drive me crazy. I was watching Penn Jillette talk about how reading the bible can convert somebody to an atheist, because it has slavery, God is jealous, etc. How intellectually lazy is that though? This argument avoids the BIG question. It's a non-sequiter if you think about it. "God isn't real, because Lot was going to kill his son. This disproves God, and made me an atheist." What? Atheists are avoiding the bigger questions by focusing on religion, and not focusing on the God (grand mover, higher power, whatever you want to call it) debate. The latter is a much longer and complicated debate, but the fact of the matter is, many people who believe in God these days don't subscribe to any particular religion, so atheists must re-shift their focus off of religion, and on to the origins of the universe which MAY have started with something that goes outside of traditional scientific thinking.
