50 Euro to go to Gibraltar

Spain wants Gibraltar back (while at the same time insisting that its North African equivalents are quite different). The latest tactic is to consider a 50 Euro charge for crossing the border between Gibraltar and Spain.

Spain is also considering closing Spanish airspace to Gibraltar-bound flights.

I'm not sure whether Spain have thought this through well enough. Unless they are going to exempt Spanish citizens from the charge, the local Spanish economy will suffer badly. If the UK public perceives that there is anti-British sentiment this could have a negative impact on the Spanish tourism industry.
